Child Nutrition and WIC Reauthorization Act

In 2004 The Child Nutrition and WIC Re-authorization Act Public Law 108–265 108th Congress that was made required that all school districts with a federally funded school meal program start addressing nutrition and physical activity. Health and Nutrition was added to the physical education curriculum. Now instead of teachers just being in the gym at all times and just teaching the students sports and movement skills, they now are also teaching lesson plans about nutrition and health.
